Course duration

4-6 contact hours (can be run over one or two sessions as required)

Teachers and Schools Workers.

What will you learn?

You will complete the course with the knowledge and confidence to provide emergency First Aid, specifically within in a school environment.

Course content:

• Incident Management
• Resuscitation (Adult & Child)
• Burns & Scalds
• Unconscious Casualty
• Recording & Reporting

• Anaphylaxis
• Asthma
• Control of Bleeding
• Medical Emergencies
• Casualty Examination

Is there an exam?

No. Participation is encouraged throughout the day in order to gain certification.

Certification

A certificate is awarded on successful completion of the course. Certification is valid for 3 years although we recommend that an Annual Knowledge & Skills update takes place.
