Course duration

12 hours contact time. (Usually run over two consecutive days)

  • Parents of babies and children (up to puberty).
  • Professional carers of babies and children (up to puberty).

What will you learn?

You will complete the course with the knowledge and confidence to provide intermediate First Aid skills and resuscitation to a child or baby in the event of an emergency.

Is there an exam?

No – Successful completion is determined by continuous assessment and active participation.

Certification

A certificate is awarded on successful completion of the course. The certificate is valid for three years. Although certification is valid for three years, we recommend that refresher courses take place annually in order to maintain a high level of competence.
