Who should attend?

Anyone that wishes to provide advanced Basic Life Support and has access to an Automated External Defibrillator.

What will you learn?

You will complete the course with the knowledge and confidence to deliver Basic Life Support and Defibrillation to a patient in cardiac arrest.

  • Choking
  • Recovery Position
  • Defibrillation

Is there an exam?

No. Competence must be demonstrated throughout the day in order to gain certification.

Certification

A certificate is awarded on successful completion of the course. Initial certification is valid for 12 months. Although certification is valid for 12 months, the European Resuscitation Council suggests that refresher courses should take place at least once a year, but preferably more often.
